We were engaged by Carol's Daughter, a beauty company, to develop a digital campaign titled "Notes to Your Mother," aimed at encouraging individuals to write and send virtual notes to their mothers via email. The unique aspect of this campaign was the creative presentation of these notes on digital butterflies, offering a visually engaging and meaningful experience for both the sender and recipient.

I was responsible for creating a sophisticated system that allowed these digital butterflies to navigate on the screen, cleverly avoiding any text displayed, thereby mimicking the flight path of a butterfly. This system also enabled users to craft new notes, which were then added to a growing database. While the option to keep a note private was available, the majority of participants chose to make their messages public, contributing to a collective expression of appreciation and love for mothers, particularly centered around skincare, reflecting the company's product line.

Remarkably, the campaign garnered around 10,000 entries, a testament to its resonance with the audience and a significant achievement for a niche face lotion brand. Several factors contributed to the campaign's success: the interactive design that captured the essence of writing a personal note on a paper butterfly, the seamless experience of the butterfly's journey on the screen, and the shared connection through publicly accessible notes. This innovative approach not only enhanced user engagement but also fostered a sense of community among participants.

The campaign's success was further amplified by the feature that allowed recipients, who accessed the site through a link in the email, to view the note addressed to them.
